Education Background
1. B.S.C. degree in Mining Engineering (University of Newcastle Upon Tyne). 1976
2. Training in Geophysics (Seismic Processing for Oil and Gas Exploration) in Seismograph Service
Corporation. 1978
3. As I have far greater belief in practical rather than academic education, and after spending many
working years in foreign countries eventually I entered research with a group of R&D experts to
manufacture high quality Fire Proofing materials, of which Naftab, a Danesh Bonyan company of
which I hold the posts of President and CEO, a company that boasts having manufactured the
highest quality and widest range of Fire Proofing materials in Iran, with qualities that equal and
excel the materials manufactured by the most prominent US/International company.
4. Having completed the required range of Fire Proofing materials, we have entered the requirements
of construction, including Top Coat, Primers, extremely light weight Blocks, Very low density
Flooring, Many concrete adhesives and glues, etc.….

Architectural Perspective
As the result of increase in land and construction costs, value of luxury buildings will automatically rise,
and my belief is that since cost of applying an eye catching design with regards to total cost of buildings
become a small portion of total cost, builders will realize that spending more in this area is very cost
effective and will enhance their profit, we have already noticed rise of artistic and extraordinary designs,
and I believe this trend will increase substantially.
I also believe that for such projects, architects will also realize that steel structures will give them better
flexibility for their design, a far better useful space (Increase of useful livable space), and not to mention
a better earthquake protection.
Furthermore, I expect to see instead of architects putting much attention to façade of a building and
ignoring the comfort and specially needs of the lady of the house. Will become more concerned with the
upgrading the interior of the house, and as most architects in Iran are not part of a firm with many
specialties within the firm. We rarely see the same requirements of living standards in a house which is
generally provided even in small spaces abroad to be present in buildings with many times larger
surface.
As heights of buildings increase, need of higher quality building materials with lower density becomes
apparent, such buildings are expected to have a much higher life expectancy and hence higher quality
materials will become at the top of their agenda.
Sustainable Development Message
It has always been a great concern to me as a young professional that why all activities are short term in
our country, why buildings after 15 years lose all values and become worthless as a building, in Farsi
become “Kolanghi”. Why all roads need repair every year and need to be re-asphalted every few years.
Why in a thirsty country all major water pipelines in cities lose around 40% of its water and in recent
times sewage systems installed are done most unprofessionally, watching installation of PVC pipes,
much to my disbelief, pipes were not welded but simply a metal ring was used, and this system not only
does not stop seepage of sewer but will rust within a short while and loss will be exaggerated. Etc.…
The time, money and energy wasted under such management and system is so heavy and unreplaceable
for a country!
Our aim in manufacturing Fire Proofing Materials was to Save lives, Safeguard buildings and oil/gas
plants from destruction in the event of a fire. And to enhance safety.
Our recent products aimed for construction, is to enhance structural resistance by severely reducing
dead load. Which will give high rise buildings a much better behavior under adverse conditions like earth
quakes, and also reduces metal fatigue in structures.
